[Custom Order] Pixiu is one of the most popular auspicious hybrid creatures in Chinese mythology. Often popular for its belief in bringing in wealth for its owner. The winged lion is said to have a voracious appetite for wealth such as gold, silver, and jewelries. Many Chinese carry pixiu around as part of their bracelets or pendants and charms to wish for better wealth.
Taking from its raw form, this jadeite pixiu came about from a crafty master in designing and drafting out the winged lion while preserving the best of the raw jadeite stone. The Ruyi/Scepter and peanuts were the elements that was requested to be included into the design. Ruyi/Scepter often symbolises "as one wishes..." while peanuts are said to bring auspicious meaning of flourish and growth. Thus, the creation of the pixiu biting the ruyi whilst carrying three peanuts on its back symbolising eternal growth to one's wishes.
All our photos were taken under natural light settings to showcase the true essence and colours of the pieces. We condemn the uses of any photo editing softwares to alter the colours of the pictures taken. We try to capture the true colours of the pieces as much as possible.
