Shan Shui (山水) or Scenery is often a detailed work of art and always a great pendant to wear. The significance of wearing jadeite jade Shan Shui is to bring in luck, wealth, and status for the wearer. The mountain (Shan) is often represents status or of a great background while the water (Shui) represents the wealth. Thus, the name of the carving Shan Shui. Each Shan Shui is unique with different themes.

For Feng Shui believers, this particular Shan Shui has a number of mountains carved onto it. Mountains represents the earth element, so this Shan Shui is great for those born in the year of Gold Element and is not suitable for those born in the year of Water Element. Do a little online search on which zodiac sign you are born in to search for your particular element for more information.

The Shan Shui on this jadeite jade is carved with toothpick technique. This is to preserve the jadeite material without wasting too much through other carving methods. This method needs to be precise, delicate, and skillful because a slight mistake would ruin the whole piece. The jadeite jade is excellent piece with great and fine texture and beautiful floating flowers to go along with it.
